Blend 23 – Itch Ease

Description

Blend 23 (Itch Ease) is an anti-irritant blend created to help general itching that has no specified cause.

Blend 23 brings together anti-inflammatory essences such as Chamomile and Lavender together with other essences such as Geranium, Clove, Peppermint, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Sandalwood, Frankincense and Thyme all of which combine together to ease and soothe all skin irritations.

It must be remembered however, that this blend is simply designed to stop itching rather than treat any specific complaint. Cause should be established and the appropriate blend used to treat the underlying cause.

This blend contains Chamomile Roman (Anthemis nobilis), Clove (Eugenia caryophyllata), Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens), Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus), Frankincense (Boswellia carterii), Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens), Lavender (Lavandula augustifolia), Peppermint (mentha piperita), Sandalwood (Santalum album), Thyme (Thymus serpyllum) Essential Oils.

General properties: Anti-allergenic, Antiseptic, Antibiotic, Anti-viral, Anti-bacterial, Analgesic & Anti-inflammatory.

Therapeutic uses: General itching of unspecified cause.

How to use the blend:

Make up a lotion using 100mls using a suitable, fragrance free, hypo-allergenic aqueous lotion. Pour the contents into a jug and add 25 – 50 drops Blend 23. Mix using a spoon (don’t whisk) and pour back into the bottle.

Cream: 1 drop per 3gm cream

Massage oil: 1 drop per 3ml oil such as Sunflower Oil

When to use: Use as required

Contra-indications: Very sensitive skins – To test your reaction to a blend or oil, simply apply a few drops of what you intend to use onto the gauze of a normal plaster and put the plaster on your fore arm leaving for 2 – 4 hours. If there is no reaction or irritation you should have no problems.  Do not use in the first 6 months of pregnancy.
