Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Description

Sweet Orange oil is a member of the Rutaceae family. This oil has a sweet, fresh-fruity scent and is classed as a top note. Orange blends well with camphoraceous, citrus, herby, floral, minty, spicy and woodsy oils.

Orange contains antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and bactericidal properties. The addition of the uplifting aroma it possesses makes it great for cleaning and enhancing one’s mood.

Orange has been a symbol of innocence and fertility. The Arabic ‘Narandj’ is the rootword for Orange and it is possible that the Crusaders, along with many other spoils, brought the fruit to Europe. Certainly it was known in England around the 16th Century. The orange travelled to California on the boats carrying the early missionaries where an important industry now exists. The oil is used in perfume and food industries.

The essential oils is a beautiful, light and refreshing citrus oil. It comes from the fresh fruit peel and has a sweet fruity fresh aroma.
