Blend 4 – Skin Calm

Description

Blend 4 is designed to be very powerful and effective when used externally for the treatment of most skin conditions but, over the years, it has proved to be one of our most versatile and often used blends.

It is very anti-allergenic with strong skin rejuvenating properties.

For Insect stings/bites – one drop neat on a sting or bite (including mosquitoes & fleas) will give almost instant relief from itching and irritation as well as minimising any allergic reaction to the bite/sting (in some cases preventing any reaction at all). A great many people take Blend 4 away on holiday as an essential first aid item.

Blend 4 is also very useful in the treatment of all skin inflammations (including mild forms of eczema and psoriasis) when it should be blended in a base cream and applied twice daily or as required. Dilutions should be started at 1 drop per 2 mls cream/lotion and gradually increased as required up to a maximum of 1 drop per ml carrier. For children use half dilution, for babies, half again.

Blend 4 has proven to be as effective in treating “inflammations” of all kinds including that of the emotions and mind – be that anger or hyper-activity.

This blend can be usefully added to a shower gel (fragrance free & hypo-allergenic is best) in a 1-drop to 3ml dilution to reinforce and enhance general treatments.

For viral conditions such as chicken pox, shingles or verrucae, Blend 18 should be used.

The initial impact of Blend 4 on the skin is that of Roman Chamomile with Lavender together,  with Hyssop, Geranium and Juniper which work together to soothe and calm inflammation whilst cleansing followed by the deeper healing of Benzoin, Myrrh, Sandalwood and Patchouli. The effects are cumulative.

Contra-indications for Blend 4
To test your reaction to a blend or oil, simply apply a few drops of what you intend to use onto the gauze of a normal plaster and put the plaster on your fore arm leaving for 24 hours. If there is no reaction or irritation you should have no problems.  Do not use if pregnant.

When to use
Blend 4 should be used twice daily (morning and evening after washing).

How to use Blend 4
5 or six drops of blend 4 blended with 5ml solubiliser in the bath before bedtime.  3 drops per teaspoon (5ml) carrier oil or cream massaged onto the affected area. 1 per 3mls shower gel or liquid soap to enhance the treatment. 1 drop to 3ml lotion
